Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on the 8th of August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. The parents of Audrey Tautou who was both dentists and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's passion for acting and drama on the age of a stage novice. This support is more than enough for Audrey to overcome her original goal of becoming a primatologist. When she was a teenager the rise to fame was rapid and marked with initial success. Following her graduation She was a part of the French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers which was backed by Canal+. She won the Best Young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and began her acting career. Tautou attended the Institut Catholique de Paris, attended church in her youth and was educated Catholic. She has now distanced herself with her Catholic upbringing. In addition to her acting career she also pursued a modeling career. She is also the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and often called The Chanel Muse. She also has a serious interest in photography and recently produced an exhibition of her work during the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. Her photographs concentrates on fame and fame. The camera's focus is at journalists, who sat and watched her as she rose to stardom in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's international popularity and success exploded following her role in the film as Amelie Poulain's lead lady in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a box-office international hit, receiving accolades at award ceremonies around all over the world. It is the most successful French language film to be released in the US. Following this success Tautou starred in many films including British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
