Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 during the Olympic event. Bela Karolyi later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, met Comaneci as she was only 6 years old. In 1969, she participated in the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. She won in 1970. When she competed in her first international contest in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she won three gold medals In 1973 and 1974, she was an all-around junior champion. She won against Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva, the five-time European Champion at her first international senior competition in the year 1975. In the event, she took home four golds as well as a silver. In 1976, she was the first female athlete to perform a reverse double salo on the uneven parallel bar as part of her dismount. She took home the trophy from the American Cup, held in New York City. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she was performing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her journey into the entertainment business in her teens. She started her career as a model skater with her sibling Nina Wayne as part of the show that was a traveling spectacle known as Ice Capades. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performance.
